Vitamin K

Since glycosylation occurs as a result of sugar hooking on to protein in an incorrect fashion, supplements that help with sugar regulation should also help to decrease glycosylation. Vitamin K helps to control sugar. It also helps with bleeding and bruising. Vitamin K is a fat soluble vitamin but it is not stored in the body like the other fat soluble vitamins. Vitamin K needs to be made by the body or taken as a supplement on a daily, or every other day, basis. Some studies show that vitamin K is more powerful than vitamin E and coenzyme Q10 for scavenging free radicals and in some studies vitamin K by itself completely protected the liver from free radicals. Vitamin E and glutathione protect vitamin K's antioxidant effect.
