Vitamin K- Since glycosylation occurs as a result of sugar hooking onto protein in an incorrect fashion, supplements that help with sugar regulation should also help to decrease glycosylation. Vitamin K helps to control sugar. It also helps with bleeding and bruising. Vitamin K is a fat-soluble vitamin but it is not stored in the body like the other fat-soluble vitamins. Vitamin K needs to be made by the body or taken as a supplement on a daily, or every other day, basis. Some studies show that vitamin K is more powerful than vitamin E and coenzyme Q10 for scavenging free radicals and in other studies vitamin K by itself completely protected the liver from free radicals. Vitamin E and glutathione protect vitamin K's antioxidant effect.

Kelp- This is a rich source of iodine. Many years ago the purpose behind putting iodine in salt was precisely to help prevent iodine deficiency. In today’s society, where many of us restrict our salt intake, we may be lacking in iodine. Kelp can be used as another means of replacing iodine rather than table salt. Sufficient iodine is important for the proper functioning of the thyroid gland.
