Magnesium- This helps to block the flow of calcium into the neurons. The flow of calcium into the neurons is part of the inflammatory cascade that leads to nerve death. Some individuals find that they have loose stools from too much magnesium. Conversely, magnesium is useful for constipation, particularly in individuals with Parkinson’s disease. Magnesium is helpful for the heart, for blood sugar levels, for migraines, PMS, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, for muscle cramping and for the prevention of asthma.
