N-acetyl-cysteine- This helps the liver to make glutathione. NAC is particularly good for the lungs and has been found to be useful for respiratory health, and when used as part of a diet will help to maintain healthy blood sugar levels.  It should always be taken with Vitamin C.

 

NADH- This is important in energy production, particularly in the Krebs cycle. It is often useful to supplement with NADH if you are using glutathione as it helps to regenerate the glutathione to the reduced form without depleting the body’s stores of NADH. This supplement is useful for neurological health.

 

Natural Estrogen- This supplement will often help to remedy symptoms of menopause. It works well in conjunction with topical progesterone cream.

 

Neem- This works well in conjunction with a number of other supplements that may have antimicrobial properties. One group that works extremely well together is Oregon Grape, Neem, Myrrh, Goldenseal, and Cranberry, Oregamax +/- Uva Ursi.

 

Nettle- This works nicely to maintain fluid joint balance, promote joint health and skin health. It works best as part of a “trio” along with curcumin and boswellia. Nettle is also a good source of boron, which is excellent for the bones.

 

Neuromins- This is a wonderful source of omega 3 fatty acids. It is a good idea to use Neuromins, or DHA in conjunction with a complete EFA for the optimal balance of omega 3, 6, 9 fatty acids.

 

No-Phenol- This supplement is designed to help individuals who have difficulty ingesting substances that contain phenol molecules.

Mastica gum- This reportedly has produced wonderful results eradicating the bacteria that cause ulcers-Helicobacter pylori. Recently, helicobacter has been described to be involved with Rosacea. Mastica gum can be helpful for individuals with rosacea as well as those with stomach, gastric and intestinal problems, including leaky gut.

 

Melatonin- This supplement is useful for aiding in sleep. Melatonin is also reported to be a powerful antioxidant in the brain; low levels of melatonin are found in a number of types of neurological inflammation, particularly Parkinson’s disease. It may therefore be useful in cases of neurological inflammation. There is anecdotal information to suggest that melatonin could be useful for hormone sensitive cancers such as breast cancer or prostate cancer. Several types of melatonin are available - immediate release is suggested for those who have trouble falling asleep. Time release is suggested for those who can fall asleep, but wake up during the night and can’t get back to sleep. And a combination product, Natural Sleep is suggested for those who have trouble both falling asleep and staying asleep.

 

Melissa- This herb has been suggested to help relieve cold sores.

 

MGN-3- This supplement is often used as part of a more complete program to support the immune system.

 

Milk Thistle- The liver is a central organ that is involved in contributing to neurological health. There is milk thistle in some general vitamins; however, in this case, more is better. Milk Thistle helps to balance liver enzyme levels, improves glutathione levels, builds new nerves and helps to heal the liver.

 

Minerals- There are several types of mineral supplementation, Bio Nativus liquid trace mineral drops that can be put in drinking water, and an Ultra Mineral supplement that can be swallowed.

 

Mistletoe- There have been reports in the literature that suggests the use of mistletoe may be helpful in cancer. It is best used as part of a more comprehensive program that includes a number of supplements to achieve optimal results.

 

Moducare- This supplement has been described to help with viral infections. It works extremely well as part of a more complete program when making suggestions for eradicating chronic viral infections.

 

Mycoceutics (mushrooms + beta glucan)- There are a number of mushroom supplements on the market. Products that have a wonderful combination of a variety of mushrooms, in addition to beta-glucan, seem to work best. This supplement should be used as part of a more complete program to support the immune system.
